I downloaded both the pixelmon mod for minecraft and its launcher, but when I try to enter a server into red version using the launcher I get this title message. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do...any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to use Pixelmon 5.0.1 for the server you are joining.

I am! I downloaded the most recent version of forge, pixelmon, and the launcher! I can get into red version on the server from the minecraft launcher, but from the pixelmon launcher it wont let me and gives me the title message.

The method for install Pixelmon is different for each launcher. Make sure your Pixelmon launcher profile is using 5.0.1, and verify this from the main menu mods list and in-game.

How do I check what version the launcher profile is using? I tried to go into options or settings, but it doesnt show anything for versions and only account things

I'm so confused...now when I try to open the launcher it gives me three options: modify, repair, or remove?

You can attempt to reinstall the launcher. If it doesn't work, the normal Minecraft launcher can still be used to play Pixelmon

Im reinstalling the launcher as we speak, and I'm directly following the installation instructions- hopefully this will work because the version I have for the normal minecraft launcher is way too laggy to play on, which is why I downloaded the pixelmon launcher in the first place. Let's hope lady luck is looking down on me...

I think I figured out what the problem was...The optifine pixpack is updated to 5.0.0 not 5.0.1...hopefully the lag won't be too bad...
