Ok so when I try to use the pokeedit feature of pixelmon extras it always says " updated ----------'s Dragonite. ------- has updated your dragonite. But then I check and nothing has changed. it always is still the same size nature or whatever I tried to change. Can someone help me get this to work.

They do change. Ive noticed that most of the time you need to leave the game and re enter to actually see the changes. I dunno why, maybe wierd NBT issue.
