Pixelmon Mod - Bug tracker

[9.0.0] Rapidly growing/shrinking textures on Linux with Flywheel/Create reviewed

Ticket description:
I've noticed that Pixelmon textures are rapidly growing and shrinking, this includes stuff like cosmetic items (trainer cap, etc), and stuff like healers, pcs, trading machines, basically anything of that nature (the more rounded textures kinda thing). It also effects items like pokeballs when held in my hand or dropped on the floor. Though it should be noted pokemon themselves are absolutely fine, as well as the textures of pokeballs when pokemon are being sent out/a pokeball is being thrown, and i haven't noticed anything of the sort anywhere else.

I'm on a Nvidea 3070 GPU and am running Fedora 36 Linux as my OS (which im sure plays a part in this, as my friend on windows 10 has no such problem). It should also be noted that this doesn't effect a "vanilla" pixelmon install. Only when alongside Create, which has a dependancy called Flywheel which handles some rendering stuff, leading me to believe there is a strange incompatability between the two that only effects Linux.

I'm also getting this bug on windows, I don't believe any of my mods have any weird rendering stuff. Haven't found a fix yet.

Okay update again, this is still happening when i remove every single mod EXCEPT for pixelmon. Pixelmon is litterely the only mod running i have no clue what's causing this, for some reason the technic modpack is fine though? Is this perhaps caused by the LACK of one of the mods from the modpack?? I'm very confused that's for sure..

I haven't been able to test this yet (as I said on Discord), but would both of you be able to please list out every mod you're using?

Did you happen to change the "smooth animations" setting to "true" in the Graphics config? I've found via another ticket that that was the cause, in their case.

Ahah, yes that would explain it, and why it didn't effect the next installation i did! Cheers!

All good, glad to have figured it out! Thanks for touching base; I'll close this now :D
