I've come across multiple pokemon taking damage, and while doing so they repeatedly say their names every time they do. All you hear is ekansekansekanekansekansekans

This was in the changelogs. It's a new feature that Pokemon make a hurt sound when they take damage (though it is hilarious to listen to them when suffocating, unfortunately). As the changelog puts it, "Updated Pokémon hurt sounds to their Pokémon cry".

Thank you for reporting this however as 9Tales has said this is an intended feature of the update
