1.9.5 No pokemon in party pending

Ticket description:
When going into a poke display with 5 eggs and 1 pokemon in your party, replacing the pokemon already in the display will send it to the pc leaving you with a party full of eggs. This then lets you have a party of 6 eggs or an empty party; on one occasion the starter menu reappeared and the game allowed me to choose a new starter but I have been unable to make it happen again.
