http://www.blender.org/ theres a link to blender and a link to maya http://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-maya/overview you don't have to use both, just use whichever one you want to use. and maya can cost money, unless you get the students edition I think. but blender is completely free.

maya is better though, so get maya

What is Maya like, I use Blender cause I came across it first, what does Maya do Differently
