It not only gives you an additional flavour, but also gives unused Pokéballs, like the GS Ball, a purpose and makes your Starter Pokémon truly special.

They said it was supposed to held Celiby the others say its an Aerodactyll



Also for the Custom Starters in the anime the pokeballs had marks on em like the pokeball of Pikachu in Season 1 Episode 1 the ball off pikachu had the same mark as Harry Potter on the front off his head wich is shown here in the image



same goes for the others:
For bulbasaur it was its name or a leaf the name should look like this

a Flame or ヒトカゲ

Squirtle a Water Mark or ゼニガメ


it would be cool to see those in the game but it would be hard to make 4 Different Custom Balls or for all those Starters wich are there or wich still have to come
