my friend thought that u should be abele to put things in it like delivering items for a friend maybe only the person who places it can take things out but everyone can put things in

A mechanic for those is planned. Not sure on the schedule for that though, with all the other things currently in the works.

I'd also like to see this happen. It could honestly just have a flag on the side, and the flag is shifted depending on if the mailbox has contents or not.
Doesn't really need special functionality aside from being a storage block though. I hope whatever functionality it's given, doesn't lock it to just the mail items unless we get a way to attach items to mail too...
I've set down a box next to my mailbox for people to place items in for now.
