Hello, as of now you can't merge the calyrex pokemon with the spectrier pokemon with reins. I've had multiple people test on multiplayer servers and singleplayer, and was told by moderaters on one of the servers to report it here.

Yeah, that one is a bug. The feature had been implemented and working for a while.
