#212985 I think there should be an ability to places lures on PokeStops.

You would be able to right click a PokeStop while holding a particular lure in order to apply it to the PokeStop. A particle effect depending on the lure would appear around the PokeStop and the PokeStop may use a different model. The lures would be in effect for about 20 minutes. The chance of a Pokemon near a player having a certain type, being Shiny, or having its Hidden Ability would not only be dependent on the lure in the lure slot in the player's inventory, but also the lures on all PokeStops within 64 blocks or 80 blocks of the player. They'd stack.

The advantage of putting lures on PokeStops is the ability to have the effects of those lures stack with the lure in your inventory in order to further increase the chances of particular spawns. The disadvantages of putting lures on PokeStops is that you probably wouldn't be able to remove the lures, you can't control where PokeStops are located, the casing would probably get consumed (though you can get more from the PokeStop and probably would have more than you would need otherwise), and if you are using the PokeStops to stack lure effects then you would use more berries due to needing more lures.

If server owners want, there could be a config setting on how many nearby PokeStops could be affecting a player's spawn chances with their lures, so that players can't abuse them if the servers include structures with lots of PokeStops or have greater waypoint spawn rates. There could also be a config setting on whether players are allowed to place lures on PokeStops at all.

Adding this feature would make sense because placing lures on PokeStops was a feature on Pokemon GO, the game where PokeStops originated. Players would even use them at the same time as incense, which is the equivalent of the inventory lures in Pixelmon, and lures on other nearby PokeStops. That is the reason why I feel all nearby PokeStop lures should stack with inventory lures. This feature would also make sense because empty lure casings are in the pools for items found on PokeStops, implying that other people have placed lures on the PokeStops and then abandoned them. It would make more sense to have lure casings in the loot from PokeStops if players can actually leave lures on them.
