#213481 So with the new tier system for pokeballs, you aren't really incentivized to make your own due to even the most basic balls requiring iron, making you have to go through a decent chunk of early game to make them, or making you have to grind out materials to even think about mass producing them.

This incentivizes a player to, instead of going through all this tedious and unfun work, to just raid the nearest structure of it's valuables and sell it for so much money that they'd never need to mass craft balls again since they can buy them.

Soooo instead of putting the "work smarter not harder" mindset into a player early on, how about making the hisuan balls cheaper to craft? I.E, not having their tier one balls require metal. The original games dont require metal for tier 1 balls, only the tier 2 and 3, so it'd make some sort of sense for these ones to not need iron so an early game player can get to catching pokemon.

As for balancing the basic ancient balls could have their catch rate's lowered just a bit since they would be meant to be early early game and made cheaply. And then the higher tiers would require metal and be on par with their modern day counterparts
