#243956 When fishing normally with a Pixelmon Rod, such as the Old Rod, Good Rod, and Super Rod, reeling in a wild Pokemon will NOT use up the rod's durability. However, attatching the hook to an entity in the overworld will cause it to pull the entity towards the player, much like a vanilla Minecraft fishing rod, and use up the rod's durability. This can make it very annoying to fish in a populated pool of water, and makes it harder to keep your rods durability up if you tend to frequently pull entities towards you by mistake.
The ability to hook entities and pull them towards you is not needed for these fishing rods, as this can be achieved with a vanilla fishing rod, and removing it would improve the experience of Pixelmon fishing overall.
