Dear SPG and MrMasochism, wouldn't it be ok to use the original cries? Because, it is stated that you don't make money on this, and I honestly don't see why you couldn't do this, of course you should probably ask nintendo, and I will do that (probably), and if we got the OK, would you use them?

No because pokemon's models are not exact to pixelmons' models, therefore there is no issue of copyright, however, sounds are. Just like youtube with music. You can make your own videos, no matter how similar they are, but they are still considered different. Just like music as well today, you hear these songs that are, and they are revamped for modern times. It's just how the world works.

If you really want the traditional pokemon cries ingame, you'd have to convert them into .ogg format and place them in the pixelmon zip, making sure they're named correctly.
