so i have been hard at work (on my own for the most part) making a map that will be usable in both single player, and as a map for any server that wishes to use it. it currently has a number of towns routes, gyms, caves, mountains, hills, a forest, a number of islands in the sea, a desert, a desert city, an ancient tomb, and the pokemon league is half way done

if you want to see what there is so far there is a fairly new video tour of the map, it is missing some things, like a ruined temple at the bottom of the sea and the foundations of a town but it is pretty all inclusive aside from that. there are a number of times when the map is loading, that is because it is so big that i cannot keep most of it loaded at the same time.

After much thought i have decided that this map has far too many flaws for me to fix and finish (the ocean is broken at one part, there are three town that could have the water gym, bimes are all messed up, areas are left wide open for you to roam and get lost) the latest version is available below, along with the texture pack. you have my full permission to take the map and do as you please to it, make sure that you give credit where it is due.

It's new years, im sick of LOL and this is the only map i bothered to keep a backup of (I'm still going to look for Jolt, frost and blaze but don;t hold your breath) This map was quite far on in terms of areas mapped out much of the towns were done, 2 have space and are yet to be done but after that there will be very little left to do. The map wll be released as soon as the towns are finished, NPCs will be put in upon the 1.7.2 release of The custom npcs mod. This map will have more than just 8 badges for the player to collect as in the main anime series it was hinted that there were iun excess of 16 possible badges for trainers to get in the kanto region. This will be replicated in this map with most towns having a gym, and badge. Getting 8 will let you enter the pokemon league but getting more will give you more to do in the map.

The current challenge is changing the 10 version old texture pack into a resource pack. When it is done it will be released so you too can use it.

sadly i do not have a means of hosing a server so it would be impossible for any assistance to come without a server, i would be very pleased if you could tell me some ideas as i am currently very short of them

Hey, if you need a server I'll be free to host one after Sunday and probably for the rest of this week so you can have more people work on it. If you have Skype add me on it (lakitu213) so we can get the server set up! I've got a few ideas too, so I'll help as much as i can with the map.

if you can leave the server up 24/7 then it would work, but the timezone difference would make things very difficuly

I made the texture pack from a number of other texture packs and grabbing bits from screenshots from the games.
