Pixelmon 3.0 will be released originally for 1.6.4 as Forge does not have a stable platform for 1.7.2 yet.

Yup and I do not to re-install my MC and forge. I will just need to DL Pixelmon and replace the old one with the new one when it come out.

yeah this will make it much easier to update right now, though I can'twait for theeventual update to 1.7.4 or higher so it can be livestreamed on twitch easily.

They Said that they were working on using it with 1.7.2 Forge so possibly we might get in 1.7
