I really have only played fire red and earlier generations. when i've played the newer games i didn't really like the pokemon of generations after generation 1. so is there any way i can disable the newer generations of pokemon?

You can also prevent pokemon from spawning on a individual basis via spawn of psyduck or editing the database. The change in the pixelmon.cfg (config) file will disable entire generations at a time.
