- 18 Dec 2020 10:39 #206716 Depends on how and where. I believe Technic will wipe all files in the modpack on update, not sure how other launchers behave. On a manual install, switching out the mod file will not touch anything else.

It's always a good idea to go into your saves and make backups to somewhere else before making bigger changes.
