#41725 if you want to stick to the gym leaders from the games than dont use blastoise, but if you dont mind straying from the games use blastoise.

#41852 Well, there aien't much water pixelmon anyway so.
The only ones I know of the top of my head are: Blastoise,Tentacruel, Poliwhirl, Seel, Cloyster, Lapras, Vaporeon, Starmie, Golduck.
I think that's all there really is so... Blastoise, Tentacruel, Vaporeon, Lapras, Starmie, Golduck might fit in.
EDIT: thanks jack, I forgot those, Kabutops and Omastar are both water types right?
take one of those and kick either blastoise or golduck out.
I may have forgotten more.

#41886 I would say a great level 70 team would be Lapras as a Damage Wall, Blastoise as another Damage Wall, Starmie as a Sweeper, Vaporeon as a tank, Tentacruel for setup with Poisons, and Kabutops as another Sweeper. That'd be a good setup

#42094 Most of the Water types currently in-game aren't very viable, but there's a few gems in here.

Vaporeon - Amazing Special tank with that base 130 HP and respectable base 95 Sp. Def, not to mention base 110 Sp. Atk. Rather slow and not as bulky physically, but it gets Scald to make up for that. Since Rest+Hydration isn't viable in Pixelmon for obvious reasons, a special tank set of Calm, 248 HP / 252 Sp. Def / 8 Sp. Atk is viable, with Scald, Ice Beam, Rest, and Sleep Talk.

Starmie - There's a reason this thing has literally never left OU. Well, okay, that reason is Rapid Spin, and since hazards don't work in Pixelmon, that's irrelevant... but still, base 115 Speed backed up by a decent base 105 Sp. Atk isn't anything to shake a stick at. Starmie's best set would probably be Timid with 252 Speed, 252 Sp. Atk, 4 HP, with Hydro Pump, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and whatever filler move you choose. If you get a good Hidden Power, that could be an option. Psychic as a more accurate STAB attack is great too.

Cloyster - Underestimate this thing at your own peril. Shellder learns Shell Smash at level 56. This is what makes Cloyster so dangerous, instantly transforming him from a mediocre physical wall to a deadly sweeper. Run Jolly, 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 4 Def, with Icicle Spear, Ice Shard, Razor Shell, and Shell Smash.

Gyarados - I ran a gym with this thing once. It's amazing how many Pixelmon players can't handle a Dragon Dance set. The problem is his thin movepool I used standard BulkyGyara w/ Ice Fang over Substitute. Run Jolly, 88 HP, 248 Attack, 4 Def, 168 Speed, with Aqua Tail, Ice Fang, Earthquake, and Dragon Dance.

Slowbro - Together with Vaporeon, you would have a solid defensive core. My favourite set is Calm Mind. Run Bold, 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp. Atk, with Calm Mind, Slack Off, Scald, and Psychic or Psyshock.

There's a bunch of other viable stuff too, those are just my favourites. Water isn't my favourite type for a mono-Team, and there's nothing that can really take Electric attacks yet, but all things considered, it's the most viable type at the moment I think.
