1st gen: Sandslash. It's a hedgehog, why would I not like it? Plus, Ground type.
2nd gen: Heracross. Because it's a beetle (kabutomushi to be exact) and the design is cool.
3rd gen: Same as Jurro and SPG, Flygon. Again, Ground type and good designs.
4th gen: Luxray or Floatzel, the former because it's a lion and is black, the latter because its twin tails reminds me of Tails from Sonic.
5th gen: The hardest one to choose... I'd say Bisharp, as it's Dark/Steel (two of my favorite types) and looks like a Kamen Rider (google it if you don't know). Reuniclus, Excadrill and Accelgor come really close.
Legendaries:
1st gen: Mewtwo, simply because there are no other legendaries more awesome than it at that time.
2nd gen: Lugia. it looks like a dragon, yet it's a bird. And got HANDS for wings.
3rd gen: Deoxys. Forme changes gives lots of mark, especially its Speed Forme. Kyogre and Rayquaza are also cool.
4th gen: ...... I can only think of Giratina.
5th gen: Mainly Genesect, because it is a robotic revived fossil which can turn into a space ship. Zekrom, Kyurem (all formes) and Virizion also come close.
LEAST favorite:
1st gen: Mr. Mime (which I ironically made the model), Hypno, Jynx, Lickitung, and probably more.
2nd gen: Unown. Definitely the most creative and useful mon in the series. (/sarcasm)
3rd gen: Luvdisc. Need more explanation?
4th gen: Waaaaay too many. Kricketune, Bronzong, Mamoswine, Probobass, Lickilicky, Magmortar, I'm not gonna continue.
5th gen: Watchog, Amoonguss, Male Unfezant (Female one is really good-looking), Monkey trio except Pan/Simisage, Swoobat, Mandibuzz, that's about it.
First starter: Treecko
Favourite starter: Oshawott because Dewott. Samurott isn't that bad, but not really attractive to me.

to be honest zero, sandslash is actually based on a pangolin, but it does have traits from a hedgehog (the spikes on his back)
