#155070 Cats are better!
Cats are cuter
Cats are smarter
Cats are less responsibility
Cats are smaller
Cats were worshipped by egyptians
Cats are funnier
Cats existed before dogs
Cats make less mess
Cats don't need to be walked
Cats can be left unsupervised
Don't have to pick up after a cat
Cats can live in the smallest of home's
Cats are cheaper to take care of
Cats are quieter
Can fit several cats in your bed with still room for yourself
Cats don't purposely roll in disgusting things
Getting Cats respect is a significant achievement
Could go on with the reasons but can't be bothered so yeah, cats are better ;-)

#155120 I'm going to answer based on how the topic was phrased to ask for a personal opinion.

I would have to pick the domesticated dog over the cat. I have a very active lifestyle so walking a dog isn't even considered a chore; If anything it's perfectly aligned. Their loyalty and willingness to play are other benefits to me.

Walking a dog isn't the only chore in having a dog theirs also things like picking up after them.

#155162 Minor inconvenience. Lived with both cats and dogs long enough to still choose the canine companion. Dogs are indeed more work and responsibility but I seriously could not care less about having to put more effort towards proper care if I get a loyal hiking/running companion.

#159342 I own both, but prefer dogs way more due to the companionship versus being the cat's $&^&$. Never been a fan of cats because of that
