Share Your Ban List

- 05 Sep 2013 17:08 #73589 If you own or administrate a Pixelmon (or any Minecraft) server, you're bound to attract this kind of filth:

Trouble is, the moment you smack them down with your ban hammer, they get back up, dust themselves off and run to the next server in line to spread the gospel Nrrrrrgghh, the patron deity of stupid.

So I figure it is a good idea to preemptively ban the little failed abortions before they have a chance to log in and drag their butts all over our nice clean carpets. Share your ban lists, and let them have no place to turn, while sparing yourself and others in the community.

Be sure to include spoiler tags. Some people don't want to know who you've banned for some reason.

Try to edit out mistypes or people banned for extenuating circumstances. It might also be fun to see how many of the same people are banned on different servers :D

Uhhhhhhhh funny story bout that actually. I made a back door in my server and used a cracked launcher to get in. Then the entire server believed notch joined. In fact they still do -_- but besides that someone must have banned him after i did that prank.

If I dislike someone, I can blatantly lie to you (you have no way of knowing) and say that they griefed my server and I banned them for it, and you'll ban them from yours? And you expect anyone else who owns a server and reads this list to do the same?

I understand what you're trying to do, and I respect that, but these kinds of broad blacklists just do not work. Too easily abusable.

It was never "ban these people! They are horrible!," it's just a way to look and/or laugh at players who were banned in other servers

If you were someone reputable on the forum or someone I knew, then yes, I'd ban anyone you said should be.

The thing is, right now my server is completely full. During peak hours, we are full for long periods of time and there are many players trying to get online. Because of this, we have zero tolerance for bad players. They are taking up valuable space that could be used by players who actually want to play. I use to try to give people second chances, but they do not change. Once you see them attempt to grief, harass other players, spam or just act incredibly dumb, you can pretty much expect that from them every day.

Most of these people are young children who come from bad parents. The worst of them are grown-ass adults with a wide range of possible mental illnesses.

Care to explain your logic behind that one? If any? We're actually an awesome server, partly because we keep the trash players on the outside looking in.

You sound like you have some insecurities, as if you've been banned on several already. You just as well have been posting on this thread to unsure every major Pixelmon server owner bans you. You can always have fun playing on one of those 9-year old's port-forwarded off a Mac servers you see spammed all over Youtube comments I guess.
