I have played and completed EVERY main series pokemon game from Crystal onwards. The definition of a remake depends on the person. In my opinion, it is not a remake because of the new story, however it is because of the areas you can gain access to in B2/W2. It is the same as G/S/C/HG/SS having a remake of Kanto a few years after the events of R/B/G/Y.
