Explode is an external move that can be used by Pokémon that know either Selfdestruct or Explosion. Using the move causes an explosion where the Pokémon is located, causing the Pokémon to faint in the process. The power of the explosion depends on the current HP (not maximum HP) the Pokémon has. Despite Selfdestruct being weaker than Explosion in battle, both moves have equal weight when Explode is used. After use, Explode has an 80 second cooldown timer.
