Obtaining
In Pixelmon you'll gain the ability to Dynamax your Pokémon from the Magenta Quest Shooting Star. Alternatively, you can use the /dynamaxband
command to skip the quest if cheats are enabled.
The Dynamax Band, once obtained, can be used in battle against trainers and bosses, provided that the world you are in has Dynamax enabled.
Gigantamax
Gigantamax is similar to Dynamax, but along with the Pokémon growing giant it also causes the Pokémon's appearance to change. Only certain species of Pokémon are capable of Gigantamaxing and of the Pokémon in those select species, only a few have the special trait that allows them to Gigantamax. The rest of the species can only Dynamax. Gigantamax not only changes their appearance, but also causes some of their moves to transform into powerful G-Max moves.

Obtaining
There is a 1/512 chance that a Pokémon that has a Gigantamax form or has an evolution that has a Gigantamax form will have the Gigantamax factor which will allow them to Gigantamax. However, you can't get a Pokémon with the Gigantamax factor in Ultra Space. You can check if your Pokémon has the Gigantamax factor in their summary. The Gigantamax factor can't be passed down through breeding. You can give your Pokémon the Gigantamax factor by feeding them Max Soup.
