Protect is a Normal-type move that protects the user from attacks during the turn. Damage from weather or status conditions obtained in previous turns is not prevented. Max Moves and Z-Moves deal 25% damage instead.
Its success rate is divided by 3 each time Protect, Detect, Endure, Spiky Shield, King's Shield, Quick Guard, Wide Guard, Baneful Bunker, Obstruct or Max Guard is successfully used consecutively, to a minimum success rate of 1.
Using a Normalium Z crystal to use Z-Protect resets all the user's lowered stats.
