Ditto is a Normal-type Pokémon that only knows the move Transform, which turns Ditto into the opposing Pokémon, copying type, appearance, moves, and stats besides HP. Ditto can be found in Savanna biomes, and can also be obtained with a cloning machine if the process of cloning Mew fails.

Ditto has special properties related to breeding, allowing it to breed with any Pokémon that isn't in the Undiscovered Egg Group and produce the other Pokémon's first evolutionary stage with the resulting Eggs. If a Ditto breeds with another Ditto, an Egg containing almost any random Pokémon (excluding Legendary Pokémon) will be produced.

Ditto can reconstitute its entire cellular structure to change into what it sees, but it returns to normal when it relaxes.
