Lightning Rod is an Ability that causes Electric-type moves to deal no damage to the Pokémon while raising the Pokémon's Special Attack by one stage. An Electric-type immunity due to being a Ground-type takes priority over Lightning Rod and will result in no Special Attack boost
In double battles, all single-target Electric-type moves will also be redirected to Pokémon with Lightning Rod regardless of their intended targets.
Outside of Battle
If a Pokémon with Lightning Rod is in the first place in the party (even if fainted), Electric-type Pokémon spawn more frequently.
