The Rainbow Wing is an item that applies the Rainbow Special texture to specific species of Pokémon. Once you right-click the correct Pokémon with this wing, it will transform into its rainbow variation.
This item has a 20% chance of being held by Ho-oh when caught (the ability Frisk can be used to pre-determine the presence of a rainbow wing as a held item), or as a rare drop from 5-star Max Raid Battles.
Pokémon that can obtain this texture include Ponyta, Rapidash, Mareep, Skarmory, Ho-Oh, Beautifly, Dustox, Crawdaunt, Feebas, Milotic, Kecleon, Infernape, Weavile, Cresselia, Wooloo, Flamigo, and Chien-Pao.
If Mareep or Wooloo are evolved, they will lose this texture. Also, rather than using a specific palette, Rainbow Mareep and Wooloo instead cycle between all of their existing Dyed textures, as well as their Shiny texture.
