An elevator is a block that allows players to quickly travel upwards or downwards to other elevator blocks. In order for this to work, the elevators must have the same x and z coordinates (i.e., one is directly above the other) and be within a certain number of blocks. Elevator blocks will work regardless of any other blocks between them (including air).
Once this has been set up, a player who is standing on the elevator can teleport to the next elevator block above by jumping, or to the next elevator block below by sneaking.
Elevators have the same appearance as blocks of quartz. A pickaxe is required in order to retrieve the block.
Config settings
- "elevatorSearchRange": The maximum distance (in blocks) that elevators can pair with each other at.
