Will Pixelmon be compatible with Minecraft 1.9?

There are no plans to release a version of Pixelmon for Minecraft 1.9. This is because Minecraft Forge has discontinued support for its Minecraft 1.9 version in favor of Minecraft 1.10.

Will Pixelmon be compatible with Minecraft 1.11 or 1.12?

Because of recent major changes in Pixelmon, the Pixelmon team will hold off on updating to later Minecraft until these major changes have been tested sufficiently to be deemed stable. Pixelmon will then update to Minecraft 1.11, and will wait until Sponge is stable for Minecraft 1.12 before updating to that version.
