Legendary Pokémon

Legendary Pokémon are Pokémon that have base stat totals higher than the majority of other Pokémon. They spawn in specific biomes, and are very difficult to obtain because of their low spawn rates, high levels, and low catch rates.

The legendary Pokémon currently in Pixelmon include:

• Articuno
• Zapdos
• Moltres
• Mewtwo
• Mew
• Rayquaza

Spawning

• Articuno-Ice Mountains
• Zapdos-Forest Hills
• Moltres-Extreme Hills
• Mew-Jungle
• Rayquaza-Plains

All of the naturally spawning legendary Pokémon have a 1 in 3000 chance to spawn. A message will be broadcast when a legendary spawns. Both the spawning chance and the appearance of the message can be changed in the Pixelmon config file. It is possible for more than one of each legendary to spawn in a world.

The only ways to obtain Mewtwo are to use the /pokespawn or /pokegive commands.

In the future, legendary Pokémon will instead be obtained through special quests.

Bugs

Legendary Pokémon are normally genderless, but all legendary Pokémon in Pixelmon are female, as a genderless "gender" has not yet been implemented.
