Incompatibilities list

From Pixelmon Wiki

This is a list of mods that are known to potentially cause issues when used together with Pixelmon.

Please note that Pixelmon is a big mod that registers many items and other things with Forge. When used with other big mods, Forge's limits may be exceeded causing a "Invalid id ### - maximum id range exceeded" crash on startup. If you see a crash like this, you may need to also install a mod such as NotEnoughIDs.

Interface conflicts

These mods may interfere with Pixelmon interfaces, or vice versa.

  • Optifine
    • May cause resource packs to not load in properly, creating invalid sprites or reverting poke balls to regular pokeballs.
  • FastCaps
    • Won't be able to sell items at PokeMarts
  • Oculus
    • Shaders may have issues with stretching and pulling of outfits, NPCs, and Pokemon
      • Note: Issue will also occur without shaders. Shaders are just more prominent.

Other conflicts

  • I Like Wood
    • Causes crashes when near Ultraspace signs.
  • Mohist
    • May not detect all Pixelmon permissions when using permission mods/plugins.
    • As of 9.1.5, may cause recipes for pokeballs to be mixed up.
  • Morpheus
    • Overrides Pokémon healing when sleeping, making them not heal at all.
  • Spongeforge (Client)
    • When installed on the client, Spongeforge causes the game to crash if a player touches Pixelmon entity blocks (Statues, Max Raid dens etc)
  • Spongeforge (Server)
    • For 1.16.5, still in BETA and may cause crashes in general use.
    • May not detect permissions very well.
  • Quark
    • Quark's Improved Sleeping does not allow Pokemon to heal after sleeping.
      • Workaround: Hit Escape and press the q button for Quark settings. Go to Tweaks -> Improved Sleeping. Disable this.
    • As of 9.1.5, will cause some daycare items to not be accepted.
  • TerraForged
    • TerraForged causes the command /locate to not work properly for pixelmon structures.

Interface conflicts

These mods may interfere with Pixelmon interfaces, or vice versa.

Other conflicts

These mods are known to cause some miscellaneous issues with Pixelmon.

  • AutoPlant
    • Causes a specific crash when a berry is left on the ground for too long.
  • CustomNPCs
    • Async saving for servers is likely to fail. Pokémon NPCs that have smooth (SMD) models are likely unable to move properly. Both of these issues are pending a fix from the CNPCs developer.
  • Dynamic Trees
    • By default, Pokémon that spawn in treetops (such as Ledyba or Pidgey) can't spawn on the modded trees. This can be changed by adding the mod's blocks to the respective blockCategories in the Better Spawner Config.
  • FTBUtilities
    • Pixelmon shopkeepers may have blank inventories.
    • The /checkspawns permission can be assigned but it will fail to take any effect.
  • FoamFix (Anarchy only?)
    • An "updating screen events" crash may occur during certain actions, such as setting moves on tutors.
  • Galacticraft
    • Breaks Pixelmon's cosmetics (redeemable and things like mega rings) due to it overriding the player renderer.
  • Hunger Overhaul
    • Causes a crash when some Pixelmon berries (those which cannot be planted) are hovered over in the inventory.
      • Workaround: Set the config option wrongBiomeRegrowthMultiplier to 1
  • Immersive Railroading
    • Pixelmon structures may no longer spawn.
  • Integrated Dynamics
    • Pixelmon structures may no longer spawn.
  • LittleMaid
    • The game crashes when Maids pick up items and then open the Maid interface
  • Mo' Bends
    • Also breaks Pixelmon's cosmetics and worn items.
  • Morpheus
    • Overrides Pokémon healing when sleeping, making them not heal at all.
  • Potion Core
    • Causes Pokémon to go down to very low health when entering a battle.
      • Workaround: Set the "Fix Effects When Changing Dimensions" Potion Core config option to "false" and restart.
  • ProjectE
    • The Repair Talisman, when active, will "repair" Bird Trio orbs, preventing them from filling up.
  • Spongeforge (Client)
    • When installed on the client, Spongeforge causes the game to crash if a player touches Pixelmon entity blocks (Statues, Max Raid dens etc)
  • TabManager
    • Name changes break Original Trainer functionality. May now be fixed, needs re-testing.
  • Waystones
    • Teleporting with a Pokémon sent out will cause the game to lock up. It will continue to lock up on teleport even after a reload.
  • Everlasting Abilities
    • It hinders the ability to heal Pokémon, every time you throw the Pokémon it sets the life of it to a random value.
