Metapod is a Bug-type Pokémon found in forest and Forest Hills biomes. It evolves from Caterpie starting at level 7 and evolves into Butterfree starting at level 10.

A steel-hard shell protects Metapod's tender body. It quietly endures hardships while awaiting evolution. It is unable to do anything but harden its shell. Its shell is said to be as hard as steel, but it can be broken by a big enough shock.
