Sand Stream is an Ability that causes a sandstorm when the Pokémon enters battle. The sandstorm will last until the end of the battle or until the weather is changed by another Ability or move.
Certain battle rules restrict the use of Pokémon with Sand Stream.
- Sand Stream Clause: Pokémon are not allowed to have the Sand Stream Ability.
- Weather Ability Clause: A team cannot have a weather-setting Ability and an Ability that boosts Speed when that weather is active. This includes the combinations of Drizzle and Swift Swim, Drought and Chlorophyll, and Sand Stream and Sand Rush.
