Actualmente, el lanzador de Pixelmon sólo es compatible con los sistemas de Windows. No funcionará en Mac o Linux; en estos sistemas operativos, es recomendable seguir usando el lanzador de Minecraft para instalar y usar Pixelmon.

Instalación y Configuración

1. Descarga el lanzador de Pixelmon aquí.
2. Una vez que la descarga se haya completado, ejecuta el archivo descargado para instalar el lanzador de Pixelmon.
3. Acepta los términos y condiciones y, a continuación, especifica donde quieres instalar el lanzador de Pixelmon.
4. Cuando acabe la instalación, el lanzador de Pixelmon se iniciará automáticamente. Se creará un acceso directo en el escritorio para uso futuro.
5. Introduce los datos de tu cuenta de Minecraft para iniciar sesión en tu cuenta.
   • Para completar este paso, necesitarás haber adquirido una copia de la versión de Minecraft para el ordenador. No podrás usar el lanzador de Pixelmon si usas una versión crackeada de Minecraft, o si tienes la versión de Minecraft Pocket Edition (incluyendo la Edición para Windows 10) o las ediciones de consola (Xbox, PlayStation, Wii U).
6. Si tu intención es utilizar el lanzador para usar un Pixpack, haz clic aquí. De lo contrario, continúa al siguiente paso.
7. Haz clic en "Crear un nuevo perfil" en el cuadro verde. Esto hará que aparezca la interfaz del editor de perfil.
8. Selecciona la versión de Pixelmon y Forge que desees.
9. Nombra el nuevo perfil si lo deseas.
10. Si quieres usar algún mod adicional junto con Pixelmon, haz clic en "Añadir Mods Adicionales Oficiales" para los Mods Adicionales de Pixelmon y/o "Buscar Mods" para otros mods aparte.
11. Save your profile once you are finished creating it.
12. Click the download icon in the top-right area of the launcher to install Minecraft, Pixelmon, and Forge into the Pixelmon launcher. This may take a few minutes.
13. Once the downloading is finished, the download icon will be replaced with a play icon. Pressing this button will launch Minecraft.

Troubleshooting

• If the Pixelmon launcher crashes during the installation process, see Crash Reading 101/Pixelmon launcher for possible solutions. If you cannot find a solution on that page, post a support ticket on the Pixelmon forums.
• If you are unable to launch Minecraft because you cannot allocate enough memory to Pixelmon, see Fixing memory issues.

These settings can be found in the profile editor screen.

• Use custom window size: This allows a window size (width and height) to be defined exactly; it is an alternative to dragging the lower-right corner to resize the window.
• Additional arguments to use when initializing Minecraft.
• Keep output dialog open after Minecraft exits: This specifies whether the Minecraft console will persist after Minecraft closes.
• Reinstall all libraries next install: This will force all files to be re-downloaded the next time the profile is used.
