Charms are accessories that boost certain aspects of the mod that can be viewed from the player's inventory.
Exp. Charm
The Exp. Charm increases the amount of experience the player's party receives by 50%.
It is currently unobtainable outside of using cheats and commands (for example with the /expcharm
command, or with the Exp. Charm item in Creative Mode).
Catching Charm
The Catching Charm increases the chance of a critical catch occurring when catching wild Pokémon.
It is currently unobtainable outside of using cheats and commands (for example with the /catchingcharm
command, or with the Catching Charm item in Creative Mode).
Mark Charm
The Mark Charm increases the chance of catching a Pokémon with a mark.
Most marks have a rate of 150 or 1100. With the mark charm, this becomes a 350 or 3100.
It is currently unobtainable outside of using cheats and commands (for example with the /markcharm
command, or with the Catching Charm item in Creative Mode).
Shiny Charm
The Shiny Charm triples the chance of shiny Pokémon appearing around the player as well as appearing through breeding.
It can be obtained by completing the entire Pokédex by collecting at least one of every Pokémon available in Pixelmon.
The command /shinycharm
and the Shiny Charm item in Creative Mode can also be used to obtain the charm.
Oval Charm
The Oval Charm increases the rate of egg production in any active day care. This increase is doubled by default, and controlled by ovalCharmMultiplier
. The smaller the value, the faster Pokémon breed.
It can be obtained by completing one national dex of Pokémon; for example, catching all of the Pokémon from the Kanto region (or generation 1), Pokémon 1-151, will grant you the Oval Charm.
The command /ovalcharm
and the Oval Charm item in Creative Mode can also be used to obtain the charm.
Trivia
- Prior to 1.16.5, the Exp., Catching, and Mark Charms could be obtained from the Arctic Avian, Fiery Flight, and Electric Eagle quests respectively. Now, these quests reward a Master Ball upon completion.
