A Pokémon's spawn location determines which environment(s) it can spawn in. This includes land, water, air, air persistent, and underground. Some Pokémon are able to spawn in multiple spawn locations.
Note: Although several Pokémon cannot spawn naturally, these Pokémon are still affected by spawn location when being spawned by Pixelmon spawners.
Land spawns
These Pokémon spawn on land. They will only spawn on dirt-based blocks (grass, dirt, mycelium, podzol, sand, gravel), stone-based blocks (stone, cobblestone, ores, metal blocks, sandstone), snow, and soul sand.

Air spawns
Despite the spawn location's name, these Pokémon also spawn on land with the same block restrictions. They will only spawn on dirt-based blocks (grass, dirt, mycelium, podzol, sand, gravel), stone-based blocks (stone, cobblestone, ores, metal blocks, sandstone), snow, and soul sand. However, they count towards the total amount of air Pokémon rather than land Pokémon in regards to maximum spawn limits.
