Ash-Greninja

hello moderation team. since i have no other way of contacting you, i will do it through the wiki editor.

i believe that my wiki edit was rejected and want to elaborate on it since there is proof that the 4 block deep water condition is wrong and its not even hard to check for yourself.

if you want to see for yourself that the 4 blocks deep condition is false, set ash-greninjas rarity to a high value (e.g. '300.0') inside the file 'froakie_line_fishing.set.json' and go fish in a singleplayer world. if you dont know how to do this, please dm me on discord, my username is: feuer_007.

all i want to do it clear up myths and depict the game mechanics in the wiki accurately. but if the moderation team isnt being transparent about rejecting wiki edits, im afraid i had to take the route through messaging you inside a wiki editor.

Ash-Greninja is a form of Greninja that only exists inside of battle. Ash-Greninja has the unique ability Battle Bond, which allows any Greninja with this ability to transform into Ash-Greninja form if it kills a Pokemon in a trainer battle and other Pokemon remain on the opposing trainer's team.

How To Obtain

The following requirements must be met in order to catch an Ash-Greninja:

• Must be fishing with a Super Rod.
• Must be in a biome of the Swamps or Ultra Jungle category.
• The lure must be in deep water, meaning the blocks diagonally around the water block fished in must be 2 blocks deep water.

There has been a long-time misconception about the water having to be 4 blocks deep. In accordance with the conditions outlined above, you can fish up Ash-Greninja from a 2 blocks deep water pool, as long as the lure is not in a water block on the edge of the pool.

This "deep water" requirement is not unique to Ash-Greninja, it also has to be fulfilled in order to fish up items such as Silver Bottle Caps and specific other Pokémon.

Fished up Ash-Greninjas will always be male and always have an IV spread of: 20 HP, 31 Attack, 20 Defense, 31 Special Attack, 20 Special Defense, 31 Speed.

If all above requirements are met, you have a small chance of fishing a Greninja with Battle Bond. These chances can be further edited in the External JSON files for Better Spawner at your discretion.

Effect

A Greninja that transforms into Ash-Greninja in battle has the following effects:

• Base stats increase by 50 attack, 50 special attack, and 10 speed
• Water Shuriken's base power increases from 15 to 20.
• Water Shuriken makes contact 3 times.

Losing Form

If an Ash-Greninja is to die in battle and is then revived in the same battle, it will no longer hold its Ash-Greninja form and can no longer switch back to the form for the remainder of that battle.

Spawning

The Poké Editor does not currently work for Ash-Greninja, so to obtain it via commands, you must run the following: /pokegive [player] Greninja f:1.
