Curry

From Pixelmon Wiki
(Redirected from Apple Curry)

Curry is a Pokémon Food item introduced in version 8.0.0 of Pixelmon. Curry can be shared with your Pokémon outside of battle by right-clicking it with the curry in hand. The curry provides multiple benefits such as restoring a Pokémon's HP or PP, curing status conditions, providing Experience Points, and/or increasing its Happiness. Different curries will provide different effects to different magnitudes depending on the quality of the curry used.

Cooking

1) To create Curry, a Cooking Pot must first be made.

2) Place the cooking pot down anywhere. Cooking Curry requires berries. Right-clicking the placed down pot allows you to insert berries. These berries must be manually placed into each berry slot, shift-clicking berries will not work.

3) After the berries are inserted, right-click the Cooking Pot with a Flint & Steel to start the cooking process. This will take 30 seconds in total and require fanning/stirring from the player.

Fanning Right-clicking the pot fans the curry, which you do for the first 15 seconds of the cooking process. The more flame particles the better, while smoke particles mean that you're fanning too much.

Stirring The latter 15 seconds of the cooking process are stirring. Right-clicking the pot will make the spoon go faster. Purple particles indicate spillage, meaning that you're stirring too quickly.

4) When the cooking is done, the pot will spit out curry onto the ground. Congrats! You just made your first Pixelmon Curry.

Ingredients and Other Info

While you may have created your first curry, there's more depth into the mechanism. Curry can be created with a 1-10 berries and an individual key ingredient of your choice (more on this later on the page). Curries also have both a flavor and a taste rating. Collect all the flavors of each curry!

Flavor

There are 6 different flavors of curry: Plain, Spicy, Dry, Sweet, Bitter, and Sour. Each berry has its own flavor rating, which can be found in the chart below. The flavor of the curry is decided by the sum of the flavor values of the berries used to make it. For example, making a curry with with a Tamato Berry and a Liechi Berry would leave the curry having a Spicy value of 50 (20 + 30), a Dry value of 20 (10 + 10) and a Sweet value of 30. The flavor with the highest total value is the most important. If this value is 20+ points higher than the second flavor, then it is the flavor of the curry overall. If not, the curry is considered to be Plain overall. In this example, the Spicy value is 20 higher than the second highest value, Sweet, meaning that the curry is Spicy.
Example: A curry with 30 Sweet points, 10 Sour points, and 0 in the rest would be a Sweet curry. One with 10 Bitter points and no others would be Plain, but one with 50 in all 5 categories would also be Plain.

Rating

There are 5 different class ratings of curry. Each provides a different amount of EXP, health, Happiness, and other effects.

The Different Classes of Curry are achieved when a certain Quality Point is reached when cooking it. The following is the formula

Curry Quality Formula.png

The Formula Explained
quality: The final value used to determine the grade of the Curry made
keyValue: The amount of Quality Points provided from the Key Ingredient
max: Takes the greater value between 0, and the amount of Fanning Points/Stirring Points acquired
fan: The amount of Fanning Points acquired
stir: The amount of Stirring Points acquired
fx: The Sum of each Flavor's Flavor Value Points from the Berries
count: The amount of berries from 1-10 used to make the Curry

The curry is Koffing Grade if it has Quality Points equalling 15 or less
The curry is Wobbuffet Grade if it has Quality Points equalling 15 < x ≤ 40
The curry is Milcery Grade if it has Quality Points equalling 40 < x ≤ 75
The curry is Copperajah Grade if it has Quality Points equalling 75 < x ≤ 125
The curry is Charizard Grade if it has Quality Points equalling 125 or greater

Key Ingredients

There is a slot for the Key Ingredient on the right of the Cooking Pot menu. There are 25 different Key Ingredients, which are obtained in various different ways found on Curry Ingredients. Gigantamix is the only ingredient that doesn't come with 6 different Flavor Qualities. This means there are 151 Curry Types to collect in total.
The Key Ingredient provides extra Quality Points to the Curry and determines the type of Curry you make. Ex: Adding Sausages creates Sausage Curry.
