Pichu is an Electric-type that evolves into Pikachu when leveled with high happiness, which further evolves into Raichu through the use of a Thunder Stone. Pikachu will evolve into Alolan Raichu if another Alolan Pokémon is in the player's party when the Thunder Stone is used.

Pichu charges itself with electricity more easily on days with thunderclouds or when the air is very dry. You can hear the crackling of static electricity coming off this Pokémon.

Pichu has a special texture form called Spiky-Eared Pichu. This can be obtained if a Pichu with maximum friendship using forage on aIlex Shrine whilst having a free slot in your party.

Pichu does not spawn naturally and is only obtainable by breeding a Pikachu, Raichu, or Alolan Raichu
