Use Cosmetics
Equipping a cosmetic is done by opening the cosmetic menu, accessed by clicking the "Pixelmon" button found on both the main menu and the pause menu for Minecraft. Upon opening this menu, you will see a dropdown list for each type of cosmetic aside from special textures for Pokemon, including Hats, Wings, Robes, Sashes, and Monocles. Only one of each type can be worn at a time. Special textures can only be applied while on a world, and are applicable by clicking your Pokemon's party icon on the bottom of the cosmetic menu.
History
In addition to being a donation reward, the Rainbow Sash used to be obtained through giveaways.
In addition to being a giveaway reward, Isi's Wizard Hat was sometimes awarded to those who have contributed to the mod in some way.
Prior to the move to 1.16.5, the /redeem
command was used to access the cosmetic menu (by using /redeem gui
) and for functions such as changing the colors of the Color Sash and Trainer Hat. Using the /redeem
command and specifying a party slot number containing an applicable Pokemon would cause that Pokémon to gain its special giveaway texture, assuming the player owned said texture.
In even older versions, the cosmetic menu did not exist, and equipping specific cosmetics required using /redeem <cosmetic name>
.
Before Minecraft accounts had migrated to Microsoft accounts, Pixelmon used an application called PixelLink that was used to link a player's Minecraft Mojang and Pixelmon forum accounts together.
