Quests

A quest is a chain of objectives which can be followed, often completing a task for a reward.

Types

Quests come in multiple types, determined by the color of them.

• Standard quests are yellow in color. These can be obtained and completed once only.
• Repeatable quests are blue in color. These can be obtained and completed an unlimited number of times.
• Instantaneous quests are green in color. These are for quests that are obtained and completed at the same time.
• Legendary quests are red in color. These are quests for obtaining Legendary or otherwise unique Pokémon.
• The Dynamax quest is magenta in color. It can be obtained and completed once only.

Locations

• Default quests can be found within villages, where NPCs will hand them out. If none have any upon arrival, they will find quests to be accepted in time!
• It is strongly recommended to take note of the location of important quest-givers, so they can be found later after their objectives have been completed.
• On servers, the obtain method for quests may be different. This is entirely up to the server and the type of experience they want to provide.

Customization

• All details for how to create a quest can be found within the creation guide.
• Quests can be shared on the Pixelmon Forum. Just create a thread with the title of the quest/series, and wrap your json in code forum tags!

Village Roots - Find a Village

Stage 1 - Find and enter a Village

Rewards - 1 Bed and 100 Minecraft XP

Harvest Dawn - Pick Apricorn

Stage 1 - Harvest a Red apricorn

Rewards - 1 Wooden Hammer and 50 Minecraft EXP

Medic! - Heal Team

Stage 1 - Use a Healer

Rewards - 3 Potions and 50 Minecraft EXP

Local Gossip - Talk to an NPC

Stage 1 - Interact with an NPC (Chatting NPC)

Rewards - 50 Minecraft EXP

Kurt's Footsteps - Craft a Poké Ball

Stage 1 - Craft 1 Pokeball

Rewards - 5 Iron Ore and 50 Minecraft EXP

Doctor Who? - Craft a Healer

Stage 1 - Craft 1 Healer

Rewards - 1 Cherish Ball and 50 Minecraft EXP

Gather the party - Catch a Pokémon

Stage 1 - Catch 1 Pokémon (type required will be random)

Rewards - 1 Rare Candy and 50 Minecraft EXP

Training Time - Defeat a Pokémon

Stage 1 - Defeat 3 Pokémon (type required will be random)

Rewards - 1 PP Up and 50 Minecraft EXP

Internet Explorer - Use a PC

Stage 1 - Open a PC (interact with one)

Rewards - 1 Redstone Lamp and 50 Minecraft EXP

Processing Power - Craft a PC

Stage 1 - Craft 1 PC

Rewards - 3 Super Potions and 50 Minecraft EXP

Moving on up - Craft a Great Ball

Stage 1 - Craft 1 Great Ball

Rewards - 3 Bauxite Ore and 50 Minecraft EXP

Elite Four Ready - Craft an Ultra Ball

Stage 1 - Craft 1 Ultra Ball

Rewards - 5 Gold Ore and 50 Minecraft EXP

Pinnacle of Silph Co. - Find a Master Ball

Stage 1 - Pickup 1 Master Ball

Rewards - 5 Diamonds and 500 Minecraft EXP

Magenta

Shooting Star - Dynamax

Stage 1 - Defeat 75-100 Pokémon and Capture 25-35 Pokémon (Amount will be within those limits)

Stage 2 - Return to the Professor (NPC you obtained the quest from) and interact with them

Stage 3 - Defeat 25-35 Trainer NPCs

Stage 4 - Return to the Professor and interact with them

Rewards - Dynamax Band and 1000 Minecraft EXP

Red

Arctic Avian - Articuno

Stage 1 - Obtain an Orb

Stage 2 - Craft the Orb with an Ice Stone

Stage 3 - Defeat 375 Pokémon

Stage 4 - Find a Frozen Shrine

Stage 5 - Capture Articuno

Stage 6 - Return to the Lorekeeper (NPC you obtained the quest from)

Rewards - Exp Charm, 25-35 Rare Candies and 1000 Minecraft EXP

Fiery Flight - Moltres

Stage 1 - Obtain an Orb

Stage 2 - Craft the Orb with a Fire Stone

Stage 3 - Defeat 375 Pokémon

Stage 4 - Find a Fiery Shrine

Stage 5 - Capture Moltres

Stage 6 - Return to the Lorekeeper (NPC you obtained the quest from)

Rewards - Catching Charm, 25-35 Rare Candies and 1000 Minecraft EXP

Electric Eagle - Zapdos

Stage 1 - Obtain an Orb

Stage 2 - Craft the Orb with a Thunder Stone

Stage 3 - Defeat 375 Pokémon

Stage 4 - Find a Static Shrine

Stage 5 - Capture Zapdos

Stage 6 - Return to the Lorekeeper (NPC you obtained the quest from)

Rewards - Mark Charm, 25-35 Rare Candies and 1000 Minecraft EXP

Arctic Alter - Galarian Articuno

Stage 1 - Defeat or Capture an Alter Textured Pokemon

Stage 2 - Continue until a Galarian Articuno spawns (As long as you have the quest, there's a chance it can spawn when defeating/capturing)

Rewards - 1000 Minecraft EXP (Will be given when Articuno spawns)

Ashen Avian - Galarian Moltres

Stage 1 - Defeat or Capture an Ashen Textured Pokemon

Stage 2 - Continue until a Galarian Moltres spawns (As long as you have the quest, there's a chance it can spawn when defeating/capturing)

Rewards - 1000 Minecraft EXP (Will be given when Moltres spawns)

Enigmatic Eagle - Galarian Zapdos

Stage 1 - Defeat or Capture a Strike Textured Pokemon

Stage 2 - Continue until a Galarian Zapdos spawns (As long as you have the quest, there's a chance it can spawn when defeating/capturing)

Rewards - 1000 Minecraft EXP (Will be given when Zapdos spawns)

Forest Guaridan - Celebi

Stage 1 - Craft 5 Level Balls (The quest requires you to give exactly 5 of the specified balls) and give them to Kurt (The NPC who you obtained the quest from)

Stage 2 - Craft 5 Friend Balls and give them to Kurt

Stage 3 - Craft 5 Lure Balls and give them to Kurt

Stage 4 - Craft 5 Moon Balls and give them to Kurt

Stage 5 - Craft 5 Heavy Balls and give them to Kurt

Stage 6 - Craft 5 Fast Balls and give them to Kurt

Stage 7 - Craft 5 Love Balls and give them to Kurt

Stage 8 - Recieve the GS Ball from Kurt

Stage 1 - Defeat 5 specific Pokémon (Chosen Pokémon will be random)

Rewards - 10-20 Rare Candy, 100 Minecraft EXP

Stage 3 - Return to the Mysterious Person

Rewards - Water Breathing, Night Vision, 50 Minecraft EXP

Config settings

• "useExternalJSONFilesQuests": Whether the quests files should be generated externally or not.
• "questMaxRange": How far away players have to be in blocks before a quest on an NPC can be given to another.

Note: Enabling external quest JSON files will make the quests not be assigned to random pixelmon NPCS
