There are two different layouts for the Fire Gym.
 
===Inferno Gym===

The Inferno Gym consists of several platforms floating in {{mc|lava}}. [[NPC Trainers]] are also present on these platforms. Players can jump between the platforms to progress through the Gym.
 
  
Partway through the Gym, there is a ledge for the player to cross. The ledge is initially inside the wall, and the player must activate a {{mc|button}} and a {{mc|lever}} to extend parts of the ledge. The lever is initially too far away from for the player to reach, so the button must be pushed first. Then, the player can walk onto the part of the ledge extended by the button in order to reach the lever. Falling leads to a pit with two NPC Trainers and a ladder to exit the pit and retry the ledge puzzle.

The Fire Gym is a Gym that specializes in Fire-type Pokémon. It generates in the Nether Wastes biome in the Nether, alongside a themed village.

Gym

The main Gym building consists of a basalt formation with five furnace towers arranged on it. Starting from the gate at the front, the player progresses up a winding path, which leads to a drop down the inside of one of these towers. Below is a cave with basalt and blackstone platforms over a lava lake, leading up to the Gym Leader.

Players can leave via a piston door to the left, activated by pressure plates.

Trivia

Inferno Gym up to version 8.4.3
Beacon Gym up to version 8.4.3

Before version 9.0.0 there used to be two versions of the Fire Gym:

  • The Inferno Gym had several platforms with Trainers floating in lava, which players needed to jump across. Two legdge puzzles and a few more platforms afterwards led to the Gym Leader.
  • The Beacon Gym was a tower with a lava spire at its center. Players progressed up a walkway that circles around the spire to the Gym Leader at the top.

Like all Gyms in those versions they could generate near any Minecraft Village.
